Pirate Radio Party Boat

An Exciting Adventure !
We're embarking on an exciting new venture that already has a lot of interest, is potentially very profitable and fun too.

Pirate Radio Party Boat
The pirate party boat will spend a week or two at a succession of ports and harbours around the UK, as a static attraction. The boat will be home to

The public will be given tours during the day to see studios and other facilities, while in the evening, artistes will perform for diners in the restaurant.

Pirate Team
We already have a strong team of mariners, engineers, DJs chefs and others  but there is always room for new recruits, especially those with any media or hospitality experience, or suitable enthusiastic dventurers who would like to work in this kind of atmosphere, part time or full time.  There will be accommodation for key crew members on the boat, which will sail from port to port, staying in harbours for a couple of weeks at a time.

An exciting new venture, afloat

Finances

Revenues
There are over a dozen revenue streams, some generating handsome profits. The operation will develop close links with other media and build a high public profile. Local radio, regional TV and newspapers are always looking for unusual stories and the boat will provide a constant flow of useable material. This will give intense promotion to the boat making it a ‘must visit’ destination for all ages.

We have a clear structured Business Plan and a strong experienced  team, used to working within budget. This is a totally legal operation by a British limited company, using a chartered vessel, established practices and proven techniques, which makes early profitability entirely feasible.

Once the project's profitability has been proven, expansion of the project can be considered, perhaps with extra vessels in different parts of the UK and near Europe. Investment opportunities can be offered with EIS and SEIS advantages.

Crowdfunding Campaign

To gauge the interest in the project, to help recruit extra crew members and to broaden the public's knowledge  of the project,  we launched a small crowdfunding campaign for part of the costs in Summer 2017.  Despite offering various exclusive souvenirs and special offers in return for modest donations to the projects funds for fitting out of the boat, the funding exercise was unsuccessful and we have had to revert to 'Plan B'.

The fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie was released at the end of May 2017 and is already following the four predecessors and becoming a worldwide box office smash.

Down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp)  is feeling the winds of ill-fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazar, escape from the Devil’s Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea, and especially our hero Jack Sparrow.

Jack’s only hope of survival lies in the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it he must forge an uneasy alliance with Carina Smyth, a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, played by Kaya Scodelario and Henry, a headstrong young sailor in the Royal Navy.  Jack's uncle is played by Paul McCartney.

At the helm of the Dying Gull, his pitifully small and somewhat shabby ship, Captain Jack seeks not only to reverse his recent spate of ill fortune, but to save his life from the most formidable and malicious foe he has ever faced.  The film did  well over its first weekend, earning five times more than the next five movies in the list combined! It's now grossed $700 million, which is about three times what it cost to shoot - a great return for just three weeks' screenings.

This will be the hottest ticket in town, and like all good pirates, it won't be around for very long.  Make sure you don't miss the Pirate Radio Party Boat when it visits a harbour near you.
The Oceaan 7 at her penultimate resting place, alongside the shipyard in Whitby, where she was to remain for over 18 months, offered on the market for £12,500. The price included a large quantity of records!  The transmitter and the studio equipment was bought by the IBC (a Dutch based broadcaster) who used it on the same frequency as Capital Radio. Most of the parts were later used by the Belgian offshore station, Radio Atlantis.

Everybody loves

a pirate !

Interest in pirates is very high; everyone wants to be a pirate it seems!

The toy market and lengthy queues for trips on pirate pleasure boats prove there is huge public interest and a real thirst for all things pirate. I recently wrote two more books about pirate radio which have both sold very well; Radio Caroline’s recent licence award attracted acres of coverage in newspapers and on TV.

The four

Pirates of the Caribbean

films broke many box office records and the latest (Dead Men Tell No Tales starring Johnny Depp and Paul McCartney, released in May) is proving just as successfull. In its first weekend, it grossed over $500 million!
